ARGON

Vinari OS 3.0.0 ARGON

Currently supported.

Vinari OS 3.0.0 ARGON is a GNU/Linux - Debian 11 based distribution.
It uses the GNOME 3.38 desktop environment, and comes preinstalled
with development and everyday utilities.
It only supports 64-bit CPUs. It is the latest version, being currently
supported by VINARI SOFTWARE and is frequently updated.

Minimum requirements:

  • Processor: Dual core 64 bit only Intel or AMD running at 1.5 GHz
  • Memory: 2 GB (3 GB required for better experience).
  • Graphics: AMD, Nvidia or Intel with 64 MB of Video RAM.
  • Display: 1024x768 resolution.
  • Startup system: BIOS or UEFI.
  • Storage: 9 GB free on an EXT4 partition.
  • Input device: Mouse and keyboard or touchscreen.

NOTE: If you plan to use Vinari OS 3.0.0 ARGON in Oracle VirtualBox, it
is recommended that you enable 'Use host I/O cache' in Settings

HELIUM

Vinari OS 4.0.0 HELIUM

Coming this fall...

Vinari OS 4.0.0 HELIUM will be a Linux - Debian 12 based distribution.
It will use the GNOME 43 desktop environment, and will include
development and everyday utilities.
It will support exclusively 64-bit CPUs. And will be maintained for 5
years.

Vinari OS 2.0.0 NEON

Vinari OS 2.0.0 NEON is a GNU/Linux - Ubuntu 18.04 based distribution.
It uses the Budgie 10.4 desktop environment, and comes preinstalled
with development and everyday utilities.
It only supports 64-bit CPUs.

Minimum requirements:

  • Processor: Dual core 64 bit Intel or AMD running at 1.5 GHz
  • Memory: 2 GB (3 GB required for better experience).
  • Graphics: AMD, Nvidia or Intel with 64 MB of Video RAM (VRAM).
  • Startup system: BIOS or UEFI.
  • Storage: 10 GB free on an EXT4 partition.
  • Input device: Mouse and keyboard or touchscreen.
  • IMPORTANT: Internet connection during installation is needed.
    (If there is no connection the installation could fail in some UEFI
    systems)

Vinari OS 1.0.0 XENON

Vinari OS 1.0.0 XENON is a GNU/Linux - Ubuntu 14.04 based distribution.
It uses the GNOME 3.10 desktop environment, and comes preinstalled
with development and everyday utilities.
It supports 32-bit and 64-bit CPUs. It was supported with
monthly kernel updates until december 2021.

Minimum requirements:

  • Processor: 32 or 64 bit Intel or AMD running at 1.5 GHz.
  • Memory: 2 GB.
  • Graphics: AMD, Nvidia or Intel (16 MB VRAM).
  • Startup system: BIOS or UEFI.
  • Storage: 7.8 GB free on an EXT4 partition.
  • Input device: Mouse and keyboard or touchscreen.
